Assam: CM Sarma flags off Guwahati-Naharlagun Shatabdi Express & Naharlagun-New Tinsukia Vistadome Express

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday, December 19, flagged off the Guwahati-Naharlagun Shatabdi Express & Naharlagun-New Tinsukia Vistadome Express.

Also, the existing Vistadome services have been extended till Badarpur.

Darshana Jardosh, the Union Minister of State for Railways & Textiles, was among the attendees at the event.

CM Sarma, via his Twitter account, said that this will help in increasing connectivity & tourism in Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.

Inauguration of Handloom & Textile Centre & Outlet

Additionally, CM Sarma inaugurated a Handloom & Textile Centre & Outlet of Handloom & Textile Department at Guwahati Railway Station. Sarma said that this will encourage passengers to explore & carry home a piece of Assam’s heritage whenever they visit the station.
