As per reports, a woman in Lucknow seeking a career in modelling was filmed in nudes after being given drinks laced with sedatives by a woman with the help of her associates, later blackmailed and asked to shell out Rs 5 lakh for deleting the video which they uploaded on the internet.
The woman reported a complaint at Vibhuti Khand police station and said that the accused have uploaded her video on various social media sites and are bullying her to pay Rs 5 lakh for deleting it.
Police statement
Police let it out that the victim came in contact with one Diya Verma aka Babita who provided her to work with Vaishnavi Film Productions promising to introduce her in modelling and films.
The incident took place at a guest house in the Vibhuti Khand police station region where the victim was invited to come for a screen test.
The impeached Diya later introduced the victim, a resident of Madiaon, to Anoop Ojha, Ayush Mishra, Priya Mishra,Varun Tiwari and Sandeep Vishwakarma saying they were her colleagues.
The woman was offered a drink which was laced with some sedatives and then given a costume and asked to go to the changing room to wear it.
The victims statement
“They filmed me when I was changing the dress and showed me the video later. They threatened me to act in an obscene film or they would upload my video on social media,” she alleged.
SHO, Vibhuti Khand, Chandra Shekhar Singh, said an FIR has been registered against the accused on the charges of causing hurt by poison, extortion, Information and Technology Act and other sections of the IPC.
Victim’s identity not revealed
However, the victim’s identity has not been disclosed to protect her privacy as per Supreme Court directives on cases related to sexual assault.
