During the launch of the new film Iravin Nizhal, director R. Parthiban lost his cool. When the incident occurred, the Tamil filmmaker was in Chennai with AR Rahman for the song launch.
A video of an enraged Parthiban hurling the microphone at the audience has gone viral, rendering Rahman speechless. Later, the director expressed regret.
According to sources, it all started when stand-up comedian Robo Shankar asked the filmmaker to pass the microphone while Parthiban and AR Rahman were conversing on stage.
“You should have asked this before,” Parthiban yelled as he flung the mic at him. Everyone was taken aback by Partiban’s actions.

R. Parthiban later expressed regret for the incident. He claimed he was under a lot of stress as a result of his sleepless nights. “It was a deplorable act.” “I apologize,” he said, according to sources.

Mani Ratnam debuted Iravin Nizhal‘s first look on the official Madras Talkies Twitter page in March of this year. “Tamil cinema’s most obsessive innovator.” “You never cease to amaze us,” stated the tweet.
A video snippet of AR Rahman, who composed the film’s music, was also included with the poster.
