Srinagar: 3 killed 11 injured at Kashmir Valley in first week of 2022

Srinagar: As stated by police officials, three policemen were killed and as many as 11 were injured after militants attacked a bus carrying security forces in Indian-administered Kashmir.

About the incident in Srinagar:

According to sources, the attack took place on Monday in the city of Srinagar where three militants opened fire on the bus near a police camp.

PM Modi has extended his condolences, and has asked for more details on the attack. At the moment, the area of incident has been cordoned off, and a search operation is underway.

According to the officials, the attack took place when the policemen were returning to their campus after work, and that the militants escaped under cover of darkness while security forces retaliated.

Identity of three deceased:

Two of the policemen, assistant sub-inspector Ghulam Hassan and constable Safique Ali, died on Monday night, according to an official statement. The third, constable Rameez Ahmad Baba, succumbed to the injuries on Tuesday morning.
