On March 14, a policeman from Dibrugarh district in Assam allegedly murders his wife with his service revolver.
Policeman from Assam murders wife:
As per sources, the Police constable who is identified as Biki Chetia shot his four-month pregnant wife in an inebriated state, following an argument after midnight of March 13.

Additional Superintendent of Police (HQ) Bitul Chetia said, ”He has confessed to his crime saying that he killed his wife due to a family dispute.”
When did it happen:
Sources claimed that the incident took place at the constable’s quarter at the police campus near the Sadar Police station at around 1:30 am.
The officer further said that the constable has been arrested and his weapon has been seized. A case has been registered for murder and under the Arms Act against the constable.
According to sources, the couple were married for the last four years.
Previous cases:
Earlier on February, arrested two persons in connection with the murder of an elderly woman in Guwahati’s Kalapahar area in Assam.
The arrested persons were identified as Baharul Islam and Rubina.
Harmeet Singh, commissioner of police, Guwahati, said, “We have almost solved the case and arrested two persons. Rubina is the wife of a prime accused. We have already got clues that they have left the state.”
