While investigating a case of dacoity, Nagaon police discovered a false certificate fraud. Several pieces of evidence led the Nagaon police to uncover a phoney certificate production chain while digging up information on a dacoity case that occurred in Nagaon.

In addition to birth and death certificates at the scene of the occurrence, the police discovered a variety of duplicate documents that are required in schools, colleges, institutions, deposits, leases, and other places.

The false certificate chain produced 10,000-12,000 duplicate certificates. Maqbool Hussain, one of the defendants in this case, has been apprehended by the police.

Main suspect still on run

However, the main suspect, Khaleq, has yet to be apprehended. This information was supplied by Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta, the Director General of Police, who praised the Nagaon police for their efforts in a series of tweets on his official Twitter account.

Police also stated that there were still a large number of people who needed to be counted. Many more names implicated in the scheme will be revealed as the inquiry continues.

Ashraful Rahman was detained by the Nagaon Police Department for operating a fraudulent driver’s licence company. This came as a result of a guy being arrested by the Nagaon Police for possessing a phoney driver’s licence.

The arrest was announced on the official Twitter account of Assam’s Deputy General of Police, Shri Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta.

Running business from DTP CENTER

Ashraful Rahman had been running this business from his own DTP centre, according to the DGP. He further stated that Arshaful Rahman would be held accountable for his actions. He also stated that others who used a forged driver’s licence are likewise guilty, and authorities are on the lookout for them.

The DGP has also invited persons who have fraudulent driver’s licences to come forward, promising that they will be treated leniently.

The Assam government had previously declared that the validity of documents connected to the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, and the Central Motor Vehicle Rules, 1989, will be extended until September 30, 2021.
