Assam’s Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) Airport which is situated in Guwahati is announced as the biggest airport in the northeast by the Airports Council International (ACI) and has presented ‘The Voice of the Customer’ award.

The airport was awarded for demonstrating relentless efforts in gathering passenger feedback on customer needs in 2021 and providing the best-in-class travel experience.
Motive of the award:
Luis Felipe de Oliveira, Director General of ACI World in a letter to Rajeev Kumar Jain, CEO Airports, Adani said, “This initiative recognizes airports that continued to prioritize their customers and remained committed to ensuring that their voice was heard during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic in 2021.”
Earlier in year 2021, the airport was recognised for its unwavering commitment to gathering passenger feedback on consumer demands and offering the best-in-class travel experience.
Eligibility of the award:
Officials included those Airports that put their best effort and prioritize their customers and remain consistent and committed to their promise of fulfilling their needs and ensuring that their voices were heard throughout the continuing Covid-19 epidemic, which is expected to last until 2021.
Airport spokesperson stated that throughout the worldwide pandemic the Airport followed central and state government rules and regulations, putting the health and safety of its passengers first. LGBI Airport, which strives to guarantee 100 percent customer satisfaction, has implemented a number of passenger-centric initiatives in the last year to make travel safer and more convenient.
