Formation of KNLF
The Kuki National Liberal Front (KNLF) was founded on May 18, 1988, under the leadership of Ranco Thangboi Kuki, particularly to challenge the authority of the National Socialist Council of Nagaland-Isak-Muivah (NSCN-IM) in Kuki-populated districts.
Objective of the group
The major goal is to establish a distinct state or union territory for the Kuki people, as well as to bring all Kukis together in their new homeland, ‘Kukiland.’
