On Tuesday, The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) plunders into the residences of the owners of Ghosh Brothers Automobiles at Spanish Garden and Manik Nagar. Earlier this month, CBI had lodged a case against the Guwahati-based Ghosh Brothers along with their promoters and directors in a bank fraud case worth Rs. 168 crores.
Pranab Kumar Ghosh, Pratul Kumar Ghosh, Gita Rani Ghosh, Prabir Kumar Ghosh, and all other promoters-directors are being arrested by the CBI. CBI also added the name of CA Arunabha Chattopadhyay and other unknown bank officials and private persons.
It has been alleged that term loan and cash credit facility of an amount of Rs. 64.67 crore from the IDBI, Guwahati branch, has been fraudulently sanctioned under the name of this Guwahati-based private company to purchase vehicles.
