A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan stationed in Sarupathar on the Assam-Nagaland border allegedly killed himself with a service gun.
The dead Jawan was identified as Raj Singh.

The CRPF Jawan was a Bihar native
Moreover, he was a Bihar native who served with the CRPF’s 155 Battalion.
The camp is located in the Golaghat district’s Chungajan region, near the Assam-Nagaland border.
According to reports, the jawan executed himself with another jawan’s service weapon.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Friday morning, 6th May, and others in the camp learned about it after hearing a gunshot.
The body of the dead was discovered on the floor, with a bullet wound to his head.
However, the reason for the jawan’s suicide is unknown.
