Kaliabor: On the evening of December 9, the elder brother of BJP President of Kaliabor sub-division was ambushed by a trio gang with some sharp edged weapon in Karaligaon area of Nagaon.
Citing the brutal conditions and injuries on his hands and legs, Ajay Saikia was rushed to Nagaon Civil Hospital. His condition was so bad that the doctors referred him to the Gauhati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) in order to have better treatment.
As per a source, there was another person who was injured during the attack.
Identity of the attackers:
The trio was identified as, Pankaj Bora, Rakesh Kumar Borah and Pitu Jiten Borah. They are under police custody now.
The locals of the area went very furious after the incident, after which they ‘gheraoed’ the residences of the culprits. Nevertheless, the situation was brought under control by the cops.
