The Manipur Health Service began a special drive of house-to-house COVID-19 testing on Saturday in several districts across the state to tackle the rise of COVID-19 cases in the state. Chief Minister N. Biren Singh on his tweets said that House-to-house COVID-19 testing at Imphal East and Imphal West started on Saturday.

Under the overall supervision of the district administration, the officials carried out the testing campaign in Imphal West, Imphal East, Noney, Chandel and Kakching districts, sources said.
Meanwhile, the state registered 788 fresh Covid-19 cases, including 430 women, and 7 deaths in the past 24 hours, a state health department said on Saturday. Currently, the total member of active and positive cases in the state stands at 6,908 and 76,820 respectively, while the death toll rose to 1,258.
