Japanese Encephalitis: Assam registers more than 380 cases

Assam registered more than 380 cases of Japanese Encephalitis, thus claiming over 82 lives.

Assam registers cases of Japanese Encephalitis

As per reports, the NHM or the National Health Mission, 386 cases have been registered since the month of July 2022.

On 24th of August, the state reported a death and also a new case. The death has been reported from Goalpara and the new case has been reported from Kamrup.

It is usually transmitted to humans by mosquitoes.
