ULFA-I releases names of 9 youths trained to spy by Assam Police

The banned militant group of Assam, ULFA-I or the United Liberation Front of Asom Independent has released the names of 9 youths who had received training from Assam Police to gather inside information from the militant group.

A video was released by the banned outfit wherein Sanjib Sharma confessed about his training with the Assam Police to join the militant group to gather inside information. In addition he also confessed to have received training to destroy bases that were operational.

In a similiar video, the militant group revealed the names of nine other youths who had received such training from the Assam Police.

The group has also released information about Sanjib Sharma’s involvement with the officials. Many evidences from Sanjay’s phone were gathered and released by the Publicity wing of the outfit.

As per reports, Sanjay had been in contact with Dhunumoni Saikia of the Indian Army and Kalyan Chakraborty from Assam.

The released names include – Bitupan Das from Guwahati, Tirtha Das from Mangaldoi, Manushya Kalita from Guwahati, Kishor Sharma from Kamrup rural, Dhanjit Deka from Kamrup Rural, Neetupan Deka from Goreswar, Ritupam Sarma from kamrup rural, Sanjay Kumar from guwahati, Bikash rajbongshi from Dhubri.

The first video that was released by the Militant group reveals that Sanjay Sarma confessed to being associated with the Assam Police. He further said that his brother who in para commando died in an ambush with the militants. The Assam Police told Sanjay that ULFA-I was the reason for his brother’s death. He was trained to gather crucial information and destroy the operational camps. He was also promised a sum of Rs 1 crore if he completes all tasks assigned to him.
