The State Bank of India (SBI) has issued a circular requesting applications for 2056 Probationary Officer positions (PO). The application procedure will begin on October 5th, and the online application form will be due on October 25th.
Interested candidates should visit SBI’s official website, sbi.co.in, to view the notification. In the months of November and December, an online preliminary test will be held.
“Eligible individuals must apply online for the recruiting process, which will be conducted in three stages:
(i) Phase-I
(ii) Phase-II
(iii) Phase-III
Candidates who have been shortlisted after Phase I will be required to participate in Phase II. The official announcement states, “Candidates who are shortlisted after Phase-II will be called for Phase-III.”

Eligibility Criteria of SBI PO Recruitment
Age Limit: Not below 21 years and not above 30 years as on 01.04.2021 i.e. candidates must have been born not later than 01.04.2000 and not earlier than 02.04.1991 (both days inclusive).
Age Relaxation: The upper age limit is relaxable:
(i) By 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
(ii) By 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates.
(iii) For Persons with benchmark disability (PWD) by 10 years (upto 15 years for SC/ST and upto 13 years for OBC (NCL) candidates).
Educational Qualification: Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Governmen
Final Year Students: Those who are in the Final Year/ Semester of their Graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if called for interview, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 31.12.2021.
Others: Candidates having Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) certificate should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before 31.12.2021. Candidates possessing qualification of Chartered Accountant or Cost Accountant may also apply.

Selection Process of SBI PO Recruitment
The selection of Probationary Officers will take place in three stages. The following are the stages:
Preliminary Assessment (Phase I)
The preliminary examination will be administered online and will consist of a 100-point Objective Test. The test will be divided into three sections (each with its own set of timings):

Examine the Main (Phase II)
The Main Examination will be held online and will consist of 200-point Objective Tests and a 50-point Descriptive Test. The Descriptive Test will be given right after the Objective Test, and candidates will be required to type their Descriptive Test answers on the computer.
Objective Test: The objective test lasts three hours and consists of four sections totalling 200 points. Every sector will have its own timetable.

Descriptive Test: The Descriptive Test takes 30 minutes to complete. It will be an English Language Test (Letter Writing & Essay) consisting of two questions worth a total of 50 points.
Interrogation (Phase III)
Due to the need for social distancing and safety measures as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the 3rd Phase may consist of I only an interview (50 points) OR (ii) an interview (30 points) plus group exercises (20 marks).
To be eligible for final selection, candidates must get minimum qualifying marks in Phase-III. The Bank will determine the minimum qualifying marks.
