About Shramik Special
In order to take special care of this, the government during the lockdown introduced the ‘Shramik Special’ (SS) trains to assist migrant workers, students and others who were stranded during the sudden lockdown.
Pregnant women were assisted during births with proper medical care and attention. The East Coast Railway during this time brought out the plan to sponsor gifts or cash to the children born on board the ‘Shramik Special’ train.
