Recently, a video went viral that showed the preparation of the very much loved gur and have left netizens surprised.

It was shared on YouTube by food blogger Vishal. In the video it can be seen that Vlogger Vishal showcases an area where jaggery is made. Hereafter, continues to show heaps of sugarcane sticks being pressed thoroughly to release the juice. After some more rounds of refining, the juice is put over high flame and concentrated.
About Gur:
Gur or Jaggery is a traditional non-centrifugal cane sugar consumed in the Indian Subcontinent and Southeast Asia.
It is a concentrated product of cane juice and often date or palm sap without separation of the molasses and crystals, and can vary from golden brown to dark brown in colour.
