Agartala: 3 youths allegedly lynched on mere suspicion of being cattle-lifters at North Maharanipur, Khowai District.
The villagers found the 3 fleeing with 5 cattle in a vehicle, so they stopped to query, yet on not being satisfied with their response, the angry mob thrashed them causing critical injuries,police said.
They were brought dead, declared GBP Hospital Agartala. The three were identified as Zayed Hussein(28), Billal Miah(30), Saiful Islam(18), all resident of Sonamura subdivision. Case is registered and investigation proceeds.
