Under the Axom Adarxo Gram Yojana, the State Government has planned to upgrade 250 Assam villages to model villages in order to ensure their holistic development.
In this regard, the Personnel Department recently delegated 54 ACS officials to the State’s Transformation & Development Department.

The deputed officials, on the other hand, will have to continue to perform the tasks assigned to them in their current assignments.
According to sources in the Transformation & Development Department, once work on the Axom Adarxo Gram Yojana begins, the officers in charge will have to visit the villages that have been assigned to them to check that the work is completed in accordance with the applicable rules.
The officials will also work as guides to the communities and guardians at the state level, according to the sources.
