The reciting of the National Anthem across the Madrasas of Uttar Pradesh has been made a compulsion.
National Anthem mandated:

All madrasas across Uttar Pradesh will have to begin classes after the recital of the national anthem from the new session. The decision was taken at a meeting held by the UP Board of Madarsa Education.
The new session will also see the installation of biometric systems for the attendance of teachers along with the facility for the online registration of students.
The board will also conduct examinations on six subjects which will be held between May 14 and May 27.
About the decision:
The decision has been taken to instil patriotism among the students. Speaking to reporters, UP Board of Madrassa Education Chairperson Iftikhar Ahmad Javed said that “The national anthem is sung in various schools and we want to instil patriotism in madrassa students too, so that they know our history and culture.”
Other decisions:
As a part of another key decision, the Madrassa Education Board has decided to make a Teachers’ Eligibility Test (TET)-based Madrassa Teachers’ Eligibility Test (MTET) as a mandatory requirement for the selection of teachers for Madrassa Education. For this, the Board’s chairman has proposed the Madrassa Teachers’ Eligibility Test (MTET) which will be considered as a pre-qualification to become a madrassa teacher.

The Board Chairman said that a formal proposal regarding the same would soon be sent to the State Government.
