Two super Hornet fighter jets are preparing to arrive in Goa this summer. The boeing is set to operate before Indian Navy starts off its operational demonstration. The F/A 18 Super Hornet is said to have been designed in a way to carry Indian navy aircraft and will also exceed the STOBAR performance requirements of the Navy forces.

As per reports from Press Trust of India, Mr Gracia said “This has been proven by our successful ski jump tests conducted in 2020 and extensive simulation studies. Additionally, we will also prove that further with operational demonstrations in India in May and June.”
The Government of India is planning to improve and strengthen the defence forces of the country . The Boeing met with many customers from the country and has discussed about the super hornet capabilities and aerial refuelling.

Mr Gracia has further added that, “the block III super hornet comes with advanced networking and open architecture design that allows it to work jointly with the Indian Navy’s P81 and other US origin assets and rapidly accept new technology to stay ahead of emerging threats.”
He also argued by saying the Hornet is an affordable option and even cost less in terms of per flight hour in comparison to other tactical aircraft of the United States.
As part of warfare surveillance the P81 is an essential requirement.
