21-year-old Kawimaningsiliu, from Peren district of Nagaland was crowned with the title of Miss Nagaland 2021.
The Beauty and Aesthetics Society of Nagaland in celebration of their 30th anniversary organized a show at RCEMPA, Jotsoma.

Kawimaningsiliu also won the ‘Queen of Hearts” subtitle
When asked, according to her, what are the biggest problems that our youths are facing today and why? To which, she said “the inability to know their worth, and to know what is beyond them,” as the biggest problem.
Further she added, “Our youths need to start being a leader and voicing out for what is right. Come out of your comfort zones and start speaking for what is right.”
Again, in the semi final round she was asked, what according to her makes her different from the other girls competing in the beauty pageant.
She said, “everyone of us has a uniqueness in us but what makes me different is my perspective in life, and my day to day life experiences that make me different from the rest.”
She also won a cash prize and the brand ambassador of TaFMA
Cash prize of ₹1 lakh was given to her. And also she now will be the brand ambassador of TaFMA wherein she will receive a monthly stipend for a period of one year. She will also be the state SVEEP icon.
22-year-old Lika Chophy from Zunheboto and 19-year-old Lovi Awomi from Dimapur won the 1st runner-up and 2nd runner-up respectively. They were also awarded with a cash prize of Rs.70,000 and Rs.50,000 respectively.
While all the winners also received gift hampers.
