We all love Vada Pav but Gold leaf in Vada Pav is something Martian to us Indians. Well this is what has recently been put to plate by the O’Pao DXB. Instilling magnificence with a twist, the restaurant came up with a Vada Pav variant that involves real gold!
The “22 Karat O’Gold Vada Pav”
Revelation of the world’s first “22 Karat O’Gold Vada Pav”, was carried out with a video of their shiny new dish. The dish costs AED 99, which is roughly Rs 1,970 in Indian currency.
Along with premium quality 22-karat gold leaves, the Vada isn’t just a potato patty from the street stalls in Mumbai. Instead, the vada will be filled with Cheese and imported French truffle butter. The pav will be topped with a homemade mint mayonnaise dip.
Nitrogen base wooden box
The dish will be served in a wooden box. Additionally, the makers further amped it up using a nitrogen base for a visual effect. A portion of sweet potato fries and mint lemonade will accompany the dish.
According to The Khaleej Times, the ‘precious’ pav is available for dine-in only and the restaurant is located in Karama.
Dubai’s fascination with Gold in food
Although it must be mentioned that, Dubai’s fascination for ultra expensive food dishes with gold isn’t really a surprise. Previously, the country has seen Burgers, Ice-Creams, French Toasts and even Biryani with pure 24-karat gold.
