Military intelligence personnel from Kolkata have detained three fraudsters from Masinmpur in Cachar district on charges of defrauding 250 people by promising them jobs in the health and education departments, as well as in various Army units.

The three fraudsters were identified by officials
Abdul Manan Laskar, Jitendra Sinha, and Krishna Prasad Sinha, three fraudsters from Masimpur who have been apprehended on Saturday by a squad of military intelligence officials, at a military post near Silchar. They were able to collect Rs 51,700 in cash as well as other papers from their possession.

Moreover, Abdul is from Topkhana in the Cachar district, near Masimpur, and Krishna is from Katigorah in the same district. And Jitendra is a Manipur native from the Borobekra neighborhood in Jiribam.
Meanwhile, a large group of people who claim they were duped by the three fraudsters has blocked the Silchar-Masimpur road near the Arunachal police outpost, demanding their money back.
The three individuals were handed over to the Silchar Sadar police in the evening by intelligence authorities.

According to a senior police official, a case has been filed under multiple sections of the IPC, and an investigation has begun.
