An SVEEP campaign was conducted at Bilkhawthlir Higher Secondary School today, December 16. The purpose behind the drive was to educate the fresh youthful voters who are currently studying in Higher Secondary schools on the significance of electoral enrollment.
Similar SVEEP Campaigns were carried out at Bairabi and Vairengte HSS earlier this week.
Emphasis on timely enrollment of young citizens
Today’s Campaign at Bilkhawthlir mainly emphasized on timely enrollment of young residents who are about to turn 18 years. Further, the active participation of newly enrolled voters in the electoral system was encouraged. The students were made conscious of the processes involved in electoral enrollment, the Special Summary Revision of E-roll, and the significance of participation through the campaign.
Besides Higher Secondary Schools, SVEEP Awareness campaigns are also being carried out through electronic media.
