Mission Basundhara was initiated by the Assam government on 2nd of october 2021. The aim of this initiation was to streamline all land related activities in assam.

Till date, over 6 lakh people have disposed their forms at the portal for the above mentioned programme. The deadline for submitting the application for the mission basundhara is 10th May 2022. The programme was launched by Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, The chief minister of Assam at the revenue and disaster management department.
The main aim of the programme is to streamline all the land related issues on an online mode so that the people can solve all issues in an hassle free manner.

moreover, the mission aims to reduce the time it takes to update land records by using mission mode to expedite the delivery of services requested by citizens and to improve the ease of doing business in the land management ecosystem.
In addition the mission allows the common man to solve the issues online without having to visit the government offices.
The people have shown quite a positive response by submitting more than 6 lakh applications ahead of its deadline.
As per the reports, CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “Securing land rights of indigenous populations is the prime objective of the mission. The public, especially the poor and disadvantaged sections, must be able to get their land-related work done through Mission Basundhara”.

The Mission’s primary goal is help the indigenous people to acknowledge their land rights, and the public in general, especially the poor and downtrodden, who must be helped in order to complete their land-related projects through Mission Basundhara.
