Ranu Mondal was discovered singing Yohani’s Manike Mage Hithe in a video clip that has gone insanely viral on social media.

Do you recall Ranu Mondal, the old woman whose song Ek Pyaar Ka Nagma Hai became famous in 2019? Now, she’s returned, and this time with a cover of Manike Mage Hithe, the blockbuster song.

Ranu Mondal became an instant internet star two years ago after a videotape of her singing Lata Mangeshkar’s legendary song Ek Pyaar Ka Nagma Hai at the Ranaghat Railway station in West Bengal made headlines.

She was shortly invited to a Mumbai reality programme. Himesh Reshammiya, who was a judge in the competition, was impressed with Ranu’s vocal abilities and asked her to sing for his film Happy Hardy and Heer.

Social media users ecstatic over the video

Set the date for 2021. Rondhon Porichoy, a YouTuber, has released a new video of Ranu Mondal performing Manike Mage Hithe, which has already received over 54,000 views. Ranu sang Manike Mage Hithe while clad in a red tee and jeans.

After witnessing Ranu Mondal’s latest video, social media followers were ecstatic and left heart emoticons in the comments section.

Satheeshan Rathnayaka’s Manike Mage Hithe is a 2020 Sinhala song. After Sri Lankan artist Yohani Diloka De Silva’s version of the song was uploaded in May, it became viral. Within three months of its release on YouTube, Yohani’s Manike Mage Hithe has topped 91 million views.

About Ranu Mondal

Let’s talk about Ranu Mondal presently. Atindra Chakraborty, an engineer, noticed her singing the 1972 tune Ek Pyar Ka Nagma Hai from Shor at the Ranaghat Railway Station in 2019.

Atindra was so taken with her voice that she recorded a video and posted it on Facebook. Within a few days, the video had been seen over 2.5 million times.

Ranu Mondal recorded her first song, Teri Meri Kahaani, with Himesh after she participated in the reality show. She also collaborated with Himesh on the songs Aadat and Aashiqui Mein Teri 2.0 for Happy Hardy and Heer.

Ranu Mondal was born in Krishnanagar, Nadia, although she spent most of her childhood in her aunt’s house in Ranaghat when her mother died.
