Harish Singla who had been arrested on Friday on the grounds of Patiala Violence is among the right wing member of the Shiv Sena party. He vehemently opposed the Sikh radicals who were protesting.

Harish Singla was arrested for being involved in a violent clash that broke out between the two groups. They threw stones at each others that prompted the police fire rounds to calm the situation. His arrest comes after Bhagwant Mann who is the chief minister of the state ordered for a complete law and order situation. She made an immediate statement of arresting all persons who were involved in inciting the riot to be arrested.
The chief Minister clearly stated, “all persons, whosoever influential maybe would not be allowed to take law into his own hands”.
The clashes broke out near kali temple after radical sikhs came out in numbers to oppose the amti separatist march , ‘khalistani murdabad’ which was led by Harish Singla’s Shiv Sena Party.
Reacting to the incident, Bhagwant Mann tweeted, “the incident of clashes in Patiala are deeply unfortunate. I spoke with the DGP, peace has been restored in the area. We are closely monitoring the situation and will not let anyone create disturbance in the state. Punjab’s peace and harmony is of utmost importance.
