During a dispute over the Hanuman Chalisa, Shiv Sena workers demonstrated outside the Mumbai home of Amravati MP Navneet Rana and smashed barricades.

Sena activists also warned the Ranas of terrible consequences if they chanted Hanuman Chalisa outside Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s own mansion, ‘Matoshree.’
After the pair announced that they will recite Hanuman Chalisa outside Matoshree, Mumbai Police issued a notice to MP Navneet Rana and her husband MLA Ravi Rana on Friday, April 22.

The notice was issued under Section 149 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, which permits the police to take action to prevent cognizable crimes.
Meanwhile, on Friday morning, the Ranas arrived in Mumbai. Shiv Sena workers have gathered in several sites throughout Mumbai, including Matoshree, since then, daring the Rana couple to go near Matoshree.

The couple was staying at their Khar home, according to the police. Manjunath Shenge, DCP of Zone 9, served the warning to the couple to avoid a law-and-order situation. If the law-and-order situation is disrupted, the pair will be held liable, according to police.
