The Hajo Police on February 11, arrested an app developer who allegedly hacked into Star India Private Limited and developed two streaming applications using its content.
App developer arrested by Assam Police
Reports say that the youth belonging to Hajo Town was identified as Aminur Rahman who was arrested during the early hours of February 11, based on a complaint by Star TV.
What happened?
According to the Police, the accused was warned several times by the company about the illegal and unauthorized streaming but he kept on with the actions because he was making “good money” from it.
After warning dozens of times, the company finally decided to file a police complaint against the accused.
The police seized a laptop, three phones and a device that may have been used to set up applications for mobile devices from his possession.
A further investigation is being undertaken to track how he operates.
