Assam Police : On December 16, in yet another achievement in the war against drugs, a team of Assam Police that comprised SI Litumani Sharma, OC of Belsor Police Station and staff apprehended one Drug peddler from Belsor area in Nalbari.
About the seizure by Assam Police:
A total number of 256 Tramadol Capsules and many blank strips of the drug were seized by the Belsor Police team.

Earlier, in the month of September this year, the Nalbari Police arrested a youth from a village and seized 38 containers of suspected brown sugar. The apprehended youth was identified as Kangkan Talukdar.
It is to be mentioned that the rate of drug peddling has subsequently increased in the state of Assam over the years. Despite efforts and actions taken by the Government and legal authorities, the crime sees no declination.
