In connection with it, police detained three people: Dul Baruah, Pravin Khandwal (25) and his wife Sumi Khandwal.
The little youngster had already been missing since August 5, according to sources, and members of the family had filed a missing report with the Tezpur police station.
According to a top police official in Sonitpur district, a case was filed at Tezpur police station under sections 366 and 370 of the IPC after the missing complaint was received, and police began an investigation.

“During the investigation, it was found that a 47-year-old man, identified as Dul Baruah of Gingia Biswanath Chariali, had trafficked the girl and sold her in Arunachal Pradesh for an amount of Rs 1 lakh,” According to the police official.
On Sunday, a team of Sonitpur district police officers rescued the victim from Poruwa, which is part of the Tezpur police station.
In their hands, the police squad had recovered Rs 48,000 of cash.
