A video has recently surfaced on the internet where 3 constables were caught for allegedly taking bribes in cash from a couple. The couple were putting up at OYO hotel at greater Noida. The entire incident was captured by an anonymous person which went viral over the internet.

Suspension of constables
The video was shared by a Twitter user, Arvind Chauhan on September 18 via his twitter handle. According to report, the accused were identified and the cops were suspended thereafter.
The clip duration is 2:18 minutes, where it clearly shows how the constables were asking for bribes.
Rise in cases of bribery towards cops
Cases of corrupt officials accepting bribes are on the rise. A recent case came up after Independence Day where an inspector named Vijenderpal Singh Rana was caught for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 1 lakh to excuse a man with a stolen truck.
He was supposed to turn up in his smartest uniform to achieve UP Police’s gallantry medal.
Inspector Vijenderpal Rana was part of the police team which was led by then SP Ajay Sahni; that had shot dead Shiv Shakti Naidu, a dreaded gangster who had pulled off a sensational Rs 8 crore heist in Delhi’s Lajpat Nagar in 2014.
Kingpin of the famous Naidu gang, Niadu was shot during an encounter on February 18 last year. So, on Independence Day, Vijenderpal Rana and Sahni were awarded the Police Gallantry Medal for the encounter.
However, days later, he was booked in his own thana, where he is posted as the SHO for taking bribes.
